I am a Classical Yoga Teacher, which means I enjoy teaching yoga in its pure form. Therefore, yoga-asanas (the postures), are taught with the aim of improving health and balancing the mind, as a means of self-development, rather than as a "physical workout". You will find the sequence of postures is quite intense and your muscles will tone as a result of your practice, but as by-product.
I am happy to work with students of all levels and I am not looking for super flexible bodies or muscle strength. Progress in Hatha is seen in flexibility of the mind, character, strength of will and clarity of thought. Yes, some of my classes are more challenging than others on a "physical" level. But I am always happy to work with you, as long as you are happy to adapt!! There is nothing more rewarding for me as a teacher to see students grow so if you are beginner, please come along!
