Play the recording below and practice chanting the initial prayers. The sound vibrations of the "Dhyana Slokas", tune the mind to the divine in its different aspects, removing any worldy and dull vibrations we may carry with us from the day; preparing our minds to remain still and clear, throughout the duration of our asana or other yogic practices. The stiller our mind, the more benefits we reap from each posture.
Gajananam bhuta ganadi sevitam
Kapittha jambuphala sara bhaksitam
Uma sutam soka vinasa karanam
Namami vighnesvara pada pankajam

Sadananam kunkuma rakta varnam
Mahamatim divya mayura vahanam
Rudrasya sunum surasainya natham
Guham sada ham saranam prapadye

Ya kundendu tusara hada dhavala
