Hi! Thank you for visiting my website! My name is Komal Dadlani and I am a jnani and yogi of the Vedas.
I am very passionate about sharing everything I have learnt. Especially the healing power of Vedanta, which shows us that pain is nothing more than wrong thinking. The practice of asanas and pranayama, helps us to reduce mental and emotional scattering, to a state where the "Self" gains strength within our conscious mind, so that negative thinking simply drops away. As Swami Sivananda said: "Pain is illusory, it does not exist. Joy is eternal, it will never die". I absolutely love that quote!! My first lessons in yoga began with my mother, in Santiago (Chile), where I grew up. I woke up to her loving voice chanting kirtans every morning and enjoyed several story-telling nights about Krishna and other heroes of the Hindu literature. I absolutely cherish those memories and I am very grateful to her for the love and respect that she instilled in me towards our culture, despite living so far away from our home country. I was also encouraged to attend weekly classes with other children, where I learnt the reciting of mantras and studied the Bhagavad-Gita with some of the "aunties" in town (beautiful people whom I love dearly). |
I came to London to study an MSc in Marketing at Lancaster University, which is what I was doing back home; which then took me to a Brand Manager job in London and a role with Victim Support which was key to unlocking my true passion: to serve others in their growth and healing. I took my Yoga Teacher Training course purely for self-development and to acquire further tools for my managerial career. It was only when I taught my first mock-class, that I realised I had tapped into my true calling. I have now taught yoga for more than a decade and have made this city my home. London is a yogi haven with speakers and teachers constantly visiting from around the world to share their wisdom. My learning never stops and I am so lucky to share all of it with students from all over at places like Harbour Club, David Lloyd, Evolve Wellness Centre, M&S and Virgin Active to name a few. Teaching yoga is an honour and I try to stay truthful to a firm practice to give you the best possible experience I can. Thank you for trusting me as your teacher and I hope to see you soon in class!
