These are the mantras I generally chant in class. I made this page so that you can practice them at home and hopefully chant them together soon!

A Mantra, is mystical energy, hidden in the form of sound and name. Upon repetition of a specific mantra, the divine energy corresponding to that sound, is evoked in the meditator; purifying his astral body and attuning it to the nature of that sound. When attunement is achieved, meditation takes place.

The positive effects of mantra repetition are explained, upon the premise that all creation is composed of sound waves. Hence, contemplation of a specific "sound-wave", will have the ability to change our experience of the world.

In the following pages, you will encounter the different verses and mantras we use throughout our class.

Practice chanting them at your own time, with a relaxed mind.
You will soon become familiar with their tune (metre) and if comfortable, can practice chanting them in class!

Mantras are written in Sanskrit. If you would like to learn the literal translation to each verse, we can discuss it in class or I may email it to you (if you are not a student). I preffer discussing this on a 121 basis.

Should you wish to learn more about Mantras, "Meditation & Mantras", by Swami Vishnu-devananda is an excellent reference point!
